2024 will see ERT having multiple researchers out in the field simultaneously collecting crucial elephant data. This forms part of our ongoing Greater Welfare Research Project as well as any other project we do. With the additional team members, we’re able to monitor more elephant populations across South Africa, expanding our research areas. Most importantly continuing to improve the lives of elephants

 

With more hands-on deck, additional equipment is required, for those out in the field and the researchers behind the “screens” doing video and data analysis. Additionally one of our research vehicles fondly known as Dung Beetle needs a space upgrade, extra battery life and some tweaks here and there if she is to continue her journey of following elephants.
